Pricing & billing FAQ

Is there a free trial on AskAI.free?

Short answer: Yes, every paid plan includes a 7-day free trial. We don't charge anything until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then with no charge.

Both Pro and Max come with a 7-day free trial. When you start a trial, Stripe puts a card on file but doesn't charge it for 7 days. You get full access to every premium model, file uploads, the works.

If you cancel before day 7 from the billing portal, your card is never charged. If you keep the plan, the first month's payment goes through on day 8 and renews monthly (or annually) until you cancel.

Trials are one-per-customer. If you've already used a trial in the past, signing up again will charge immediately rather than offering a new free week.

Starting a trial takes about a minute: pick Pro or Max on the pricing page, enter a card through the Stripe checkout, and the premium models unlock immediately. Your trial end date is shown in the billing portal from day one, so there's no guessing when the first charge lands.

The trial unlocks everything the paid plan has, not a limited preview: Claude Sonnet 4, ChatGPT 4.1, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Perplexity search, file uploads, voice input and saved prompts. Use the week to run real tasks from your actual work rather than toy questions; that's the only way to know whether the premium models earn their price for your use case.

One honest tip: if you decide on day 2 that the product isn't for you, cancel right away rather than setting a mental reminder. A cancelled trial keeps working until day 7 anyway, so you lose nothing by cancelling early, and you avoid the forgotten-trial charge entirely.

What to test during the trial

Use the trial to test the paid features that actually change your workflow: premium models, file uploads, longer conversations, voice input, saved prompts and higher monthly limits. A good trial test is not one random question; it is one real task from your week. Try a document summary, a coding problem, an email sequence, a research workflow or a professional question you would normally spend time on manually.

Before the trial ends, check whether the answers saved meaningful time or improved output quality. If you only need occasional quick answers, the free tier may be enough. If AI becomes part of your daily work, Pro is usually the right starting point.
