Pricing & billing FAQ

What's the difference between the Pro and Max plans?

Short answer: Pro ($9.99/mo) gives 500 questions and all premium models. Max ($29.99/mo) is for heavy users: effectively unlimited questions and a 3× larger token allowance.

Both paid plans unlock the same premium features: every AI model (including Claude Sonnet 4, Gemini 2.5 Pro and Perplexity search), file uploads, voice input, code highlighting, saved prompts and the full chat-history dashboard. The difference is volume:

  • Pro: $9.99 / month ($99.99 / year, ~17% off). 500 questions and 25,000,000 tokens per month. Right for most professionals and students.
  • Max: $29.99 / month (annual saves 20%). 9,999 questions (effectively unlimited under fair-use) and 75,000,000 tokens per month. Right for heavy daily users, agencies and teams.

What the token numbers mean in practice: a token is roughly three quarters of an English word, so Pro's 25,000,000 tokens cover roughly 18 million words of combined questions and answers per month. For perspective, that is hundreds of novels' worth of text. Most people exhaust the 500-question count long before the token budget unless they regularly paste long documents, in which case the token counter helps you estimate what a big upload will consume.

A simple decision rule: if you expect to ask more than about 16 questions a day, every day, or you work with AI for hours at a stretch, start with Max. Otherwise start with Pro, watch your usage meter during the first month, and upgrade only if you hit the ceiling.

Both come with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. Stripe handles prorating automatically if you switch between Pro and Max mid-cycle.

Who should choose each plan

Pro is the practical plan for most individuals: students, freelancers, professionals and casual power users who want premium models without thinking about every prompt. It fits people who use AI daily but not all day. Max is for heavier workflows: long sessions, repeated file analysis, agency work, coding marathons, research projects, or people who use AI as part of their job for hours at a time.

If you are unsure, start with Pro during the trial and watch how quickly you use questions and tokens. Upgrade to Max only when usage becomes the constraint, not because Max has different core features.
