Face IQ

In one line: Informal online shorthand for a face-analysis or face-rating result based on how visible features and proportions present in one photo - Not intelligence or personal worth.

What is Face IQ?

Face IQ is informal internet language for a face-analysis or face-rating result. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with cognitive intelligence. A Face IQ test typically uses a selfie to comment on visible presentation, facial proportions, symmetry, grooming or photographic quality.

There is no universal Face IQ formula. Different face rating apps use different models, landmarks, prompts and score scales, so an 8 from one website cannot be compared directly with an 8 from another. Even the same person can get a different result after changing the light, lens distance or expression.

What an AI face rating app can analyze

Can inspect in a photoCannot establish
Whether the eyes, jawline and hairline are clearly visibleYour objective attractiveness
Apparent balance, framing, lighting and expressionHow everyone will perceive you
Estimated landmarks and photographed proportionsClinical or surgical measurements
Practical camera, styling and grooming improvementsYour health, identity, character or worth

Face IQ vs PSL score

Face IQ and PSL score are overlapping labels used by online face-rating and looksmaxxing communities. Face IQ often sounds like an app-generated analysis, while the PSL scale usually refers to a community 1–10 appearance rating. Neither is a standardized scientific test.

Read the evidence, not only the number: a responsible face rating website should explain what it saw, disclose uncertainty and show how the result was calculated.

The free Looksmaxxing AI face analysis reports five photo-presentation scores, the evidence behind each score and a transparent golden-ratio estimate. It does not identify the person or claim to measure objective beauty. For the dedicated numerical intent, use the AI PSL Scale Test.
